Pièce de liaison au sol en plastique ?
Thermoplastique - Une nouvelle concurrence …

The engine torque rod made by Continental (ContiTech Vibration Control) and BASF using the special polyamide Ultramid® A3WG10 CR (PA 66) for the latest Opel Vectra is the first high load engine mount system ever to be made of plastic. (The picture shows the predecessor aluminium model on the left) The part was approved for use in the OPEL Vectra C and in the SAAB 9 3 in early 2006. The weight savings amount to about 35% in comparison to the aluminum component. The lion’s share of the development work consisted of comprehensive calculations and simulations that were carried out at BASF using its instrument of Integrative Simulation. In order to reliably predict the strength of such a high load component, the company has once again expanded its simulation instrument.
