Joint venture Bühler JSW au Japon

Bühler et JSW viennent de conclure une joint venture dénommée “JSW & Buhler Machinery Ltd” pour la fabrication et la vente de machines à couler sous pression chambre froide au japon. La société est basée à Tokyo.
JSW est un des leaders des presses d'injection plastique au japon et en Asie et fabrique et commercialise les machines de thixomolding magnésium pour l'Asie (licence Thixomat).

Bühler and Japan Steel Works have set up JSW & Buhler Machinery Ltd. for the manufacture and sale of die casting machines in Japan.

Bühler began its collaboration with the Japanese company, Japan Steel Works (JSW) roughly a year ago with a sales and service agreement. The two companies have now formed a joint venture called “JSW & Buhler Machinery Ltd.” for the manufacture and sale of cold-chamber die casting machines. The new business is located in Tokyo, not far from the headquarters of JSW. Mr. Kitamura, who has switched from JSW to the joint venture, is in charge of the business.

JSW has already spent several months marketing for potential Japanese customers. Moreover, preparations have been made for an on-site production. The first machine with a locking force of 850 tonnes was installed in the JSW plant in Hiroshima, where a technical centre of competence was opened in October. A novel two-plate die casting machine with a locking force of 1325 tonnes followed in September.

The joint venture is planning to extend the production of cold casting machines with locking forces ranging from 550 to 4500 tonnes, and will use the production capacity of JSW for this purpose. Tests and training sessions will in future take place at the new technical centre for competence. On the one hand, the existing base at JSW in Japan will be used for the service, and on the other, the global network of Bühler.
